In our last post we described the basic function and structure of the aura. In this one we wanted to give a few more suggestions on how you can keep your aura clear and clean and also briefly discuss what different colors in the aura mean.
CLEANSING THE AURA
Cleaning your aura should be as commonplace and frequent as cleaning your body. However because we don't talk about the aura in Western culture as being "real" we often forget about it and as a result, many Westerners walk around with the energetic equivalent of wearing a stinky old sock for days. Below are some suggestions for cleaning the aurally avoid aura stinkiness.
Most people bathe regularly, and it's a good thing (for various reasons). The act of rinsing the body helps to clean the aura as well. As we wash our physical vehicle we are inadvertently washing our energetic structure as well. That's why we generally feel good after a good washing.
This is because the water molecules help to penetrate your atomic structure and dislodge both physical and energetic impurities. You can help this process along by become aware of the fact you are cleaning your aura when you bathe, and imagining the energetic dirt and muck going down the drain.
We talk about smudging the home to rid it of unwanted energy but we should also be smudging our auras to rid it of energetic dirt. This is a very simple and highly effective way of cleansing the energy system. The structure and thought forms behind sage have made it an effective energy cleanser for countless cultures for ages. When you allow the smoke from a sage stick or loose sage to envelop around your physical shell you're allowing it to do its magic on your energy system in the same way you would your home.
For those sensitive to smoke you may want to only light the sage slightly, it's not the amount of smoke but how thorough you are in surrounding yourself. Make sure you encircle the whole body approximately 2-3 feet out from the physical frame and that you cover the toes to the head. It is much easier if a friend or partner helps. White sage is always good for this.
Meditation is a very effective way to cleanse the energy system. Your thoughts influence your energy system probably more than anything else you come in contact with. Because of the intimate link between your mental/emotional state and your energetic output the more attention you put into clearing your thoughts and emotions the clearer your aura will be. You don't have to spend an hour clearing your aura. Here's a quick meditation you can use:
Take a minute and imagine that your feet are absorbing silky black or brown (healing energy) from the earth, and as the black moves up your feet into the rest of your body, imagine it dislodging any energetic debris (physical pain, anxieties, negative emotions) that may be lodged in your system, now wash all the black earth energy out with crystal clear white light that filters down the top of your head until it's all out. Conversely imagine seeing your body and aura structure in a washing machine of white or crystal clear light. You may have to do this multiple times a day because thoughts and emotions are easily influenced by the environment.
Nature is a natural energetic cleanser. When we spend time in clear and clean natural settings we often return feeling refreshed. This is because the natural energy of the space can cleanse our energy bodies. This is particularly true if you come in contact with fresh or salty running water. The ocean is the biggest cleanser in the world. A dip in the ocean, or a moving stream or river can have the same effect as a shower, and often be more thorough at cleansing the aura.
This is particularly important for those who live in densely populated areas or cities where there is little nature around. Trees and other foliage can help to cleanse the aura because they cleanse the air around them which in turn can have a cleansing effect on your personal energy space. The desert is often quite clear as well and spending time in dessert air can slowly wash the aura of debris.
Healers and Puppies
One of the most obvious ways to cleanse your energy is to go to someone who know how to cleanse energy. Reiki healers or energy workers often do this unwillingly for others since they take on other people's energetic debris. The trick for them is learning how to clear it out of their own system (something Aaron and I learned the hard way). Nonetheless these people will generally help clear your energy system, provided they don't dump their own energy back into you (which is only problematic if they vibrate at a lower frequency than you).
Nonetheless a good massage (whether they are energy massages or not) will help to clear your aura and energy system. Working with a good, high vibration counselor, going to a spiritual teacher or master or attending a healing session can all help clear your energy systems. Additionally animals naturally help cleanse our energy system as they often take on slow frequency energy and process it for us. It's one of their gifts to us. So spending time with your dog, cat, horse or other pet can help you get a good energetic rinse as well.
UNDERSTANDING AURA COLORS
I mentioned in the pervious post that the aura takes on various colors depending on your predominant thought patterns and emotions at a given time. People will generally have 2-3 colors in their space. These colors can change but we all have a leaning toward a certain end of the spectrum. This differs slightly from ones soul color, which is the color the soul comes in with that holds the encodements of their purpose in this incarnation (but this will correspond somewhat to the aura as well).
We will have a leaning toward a few colors which will show up in how we process emotions and energy. The descriptions below are brief indications of the emotional or mental vibe that goes with each color. Think of it somewhat like a personality style.
A healthy aura expresses a clear and pure tone. Remember that they can appear as any hue along the basic color spectrum and that they will typically fluctuate and change throughout the day, but we will prefer certain frequencies to others depending on our souls development.
